way too many photos

I'm back from New York.  It was so awesome, didn't really want to come home.  alas, grandma did amazingly well with all the kiddos.  owen showed me a "really smart place where grandma keeps the remote"  and the babies were, apparently, really good for her.  hallelujah!

Day one of shooting!  i always like seeing his name on the slate.
firguring crap out.

Big Crane for the rockwall

Getting ready

up high on the big crane

Looking cute

Actors all rigged up to climb. not that you can tell, but the blonde with short hair is evan rachel wood and the guy is justin long. they are the two leads.  Doug really likes them both.  i met justin breifly but not evan. when i met justin at dinner i meant to say something like, good luck on the shoot, it's going to be great! but what i actually said was," I hope this goes well." didnt have quite the positive tone i was going for.
he chuckled and said, me too!  hahahaha

For my mom! She's a fan.

The cast dinner.  I had the best Italian meal of my life. it was that good, or i was just that hungry. probably both.

Central Park

Looking for a cab at like 5am.  The assistant sent the car service to brooklyn. Doug told me yesterday that that poor assistant was fired at the end of her first day.  apparently this wasn't her only mix up.

Getting a cab to take us to the cast dinner

Church!! Love that i caught the guy on his way out.

The Met.  Wandered this place alone sunday afternoon.  it was so unbelieveably nice

Had to photograph a painting of Van Gogh's shoes.  Reminded me of doug and all his shoe pics!

Walking through Central park after the museum.  This photo was then suped up in instagram, haha.  i love the liz taylor blur. my favorite feature.

Tribeca

Marghi and Percy in Tribeca, i hung out with kat's fam on saturday afternoon.

Roof Top Garden Patio thing

The Solariam.  a word that forever reminds me of Sabrina with harrison ford,  julia ormond and greg kinnear

Rhys recorded a song as Brendan Fraser's voice. here he is practicing

Breakfast after church. if you go and Build a biscuit, DONT forget the gravy.  i did and it was just ok.

Saturday Morning.  we grabbed breakfast and before he had to work

this is our 8 dollar hot chocolate. it is so thick and creamy. got it from Birdbath, the shop with the famed coconut cookies.

We added a gigantic marshmallow.  totally unnecessary but it looked so cool.

Thursday when i flew in i went straight to the office.  This is what watching doug work in the office looks like.  After about 45 mintes of that i went out to find some food and see what i could see.

perfect cold weather meal.

Somewhere in the east village

At a super yummy vietnamese place.  had a close replica of a thi-thi's sub!! super yum.

Something pork-ish.  delish.

Don't love this photo of me but wanted to show i was there. eating with me chopstcks.

Hanging out at russ' place, one of the coolest apartments ever.
Yes, i staged this. well, doug was really working and i was really sitting next to him and  so i picked up the new yorker and pretended i was thouroughly engrossed and then stuck my arm out to the side and snapped the pic.  Where is Jessica when i need her??? it's hard documenting your own trip.
This was at the laundromat before we left.  washer was still broken and i had to get 6 loads done before picking up sophie from school. it only took an hour.  although with these two it felt more like 5 hours.

 THE END!

  3. Your pics even make New York look good. How much do you charge to let people take your kids to the laundromat?
