i'm going to write a list:
- a bunch of light bulbs
- vacuum
- washing machine
- black toilet in my bathroom (yes we have an all black tile, sink, toilet bathroom. its pretty special)
- bedroom tv
- netflix went on the fritz - now repaired
- the heater
- the stove 'off' button doesn't turn off
- apple tv remote - it won't go right.
Im sure there are more but it's seriously so annoying. in other news, it's valentine's day and the kids each got a stuffed animal from ikea. hahaha. and some balloons and some candy. it was a fun morning. (the way i wrote that is sounds like christmas, which it totally was not.)
we also had pink heart pancakes and strawberries and pink milk. we were trying like crazy to finish penny's valentines for school. we started yesterday evening and our first 2 attempts went awry.
but were doing alright without doug, i suppose.
my sister, jami, and her family come tomorrow and stay until tuesday!!! So very excited for them to come!
i feel like i have an impossibly long to-do list (again) and i'm sitting here blogging instead.
if i have to buy a vacuum, which one should i buy??????????
this is the very last thing i want to spend money on right now and yet i think i'll have to. Our current one has sucked for a long time. and not suck-like-a-vacuum-should-kind of way.

More fun!
This morning's heart pancakes. this heart is a little bit broken :)
needed a bubble bath after eating like 10 dove chocolates. Here's the alternate photo
And lastly, I sent this valentine's card to doug via text. If he were here i totally would have bought it for him. That''s the same, right? haha via Sad Shop - they have some funny ones.
I totally just sent that V day card image to Adam via email. So perfect for parents of a newborn!! If only I'd seen it earlier Adam might've gotten an actual Valentine's Day card, instead he gets a random candy bar I found at Ralph's last night.
ReplyDeleteAnd good thing you were an apartment manager... you should be able to fix some of that stuff in your house! Ha!
Let's hang after your sis leaves. Enjoy and have fun w/ family.
Beth , I am a pro at some things because of that job!!
ReplyDeleteok. buy a dyson. it is the BEST. sucks the BEST. on the higher end of things, BUT will last you forever. {i have the canister version that is sold at costco, i like it opposed to the upright...}
ReplyDeletealso, happy valentines day! big valentines kiss for you!
I hear good things about the oreck from costco. However I have no personal experience with it. Mine's sucky too.
ReplyDeleteI like you and oranges. :) Happy Valentines! Say Hi to Jami. I'm dying I miss you all YET again. Whatever.
Your list of broken stuff looks no fun. We have the Oreck from Costco--it's light weight--Porter could vacuum when he was 3 with it. Lawrence has no problems. It folds all the way down to the floor (can practically go parallel0--this doesn't make sense)--so you can reach under your beds and under couches without moving anythings. It also does tile well.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I don't like--I've replaced the belt 3 times on it in 2 years, which maybe isn't a lot. IF you run over things like heavier legos it ruins the belt--YOu can get a 4 pack of belts on Amazon for 5 bucks though. You also have to use the little canister vac that comes with it to do along your baseboards, which sometimes I just wish that was attached to the vacuum.
Happy vacuum shopping, who wants to buy a vacuum?? Too bad it's not something fun.
