tidbits

Today, doug is shooting the big final scene of his movie.  last day with evan, second to last location, it's all coming to an end.  I've been thinking about him all day, hoping things are smooth.

I took down the crib before jami and brett came last week.  it was a quick decision but a long time coming, i guess. simon hasn't slept in his bed for at least a month, he only wants Owen's bed. so when we were looking for places to put everybody i decided to get rid of the crib and put up an airmattress for kate and zach.  it worked out just great. emotionally it was about 90/10.  90% elated and 10% sad that we no longer need a crib in our house.

I did pause and say a little goodbye to babyhood and then i texted doug and said we deserve a bicoastal high five for making it this far.  who hoo for us!

no more cribs. diapers are next.



The other day penny was trying to turn on her lamp but i had unplugged it to plug in the humidifier.  she said mom, the lamp isn't working. it died. we need to charge it.

the phone dies, the computer dies and apparently, the lamp dies too.

also, penny has walking pneumonia.  went around her classroom so weve been in the last few days. which is a shame cuz it's gorgeous out!!

got antibiotics today so she should be ok for tylers party on saturday.  i hope anyway, i miss BETH.  i miss all my friends right now.  it's not like I've been in NY for two months but with all our sickness and travel, it sure feels like it.

sophie is up to her eyeballs in choir practices for POP SHOW.  it's going to be a fantastic show. we have tickets for march 2.  Then she heads to NY on march 15 for a national competition.  she is SO TOTALLY EXCITED!

Owen is good ole owen. I like that boy.  He sold a bunch of video games back to game stop last weekend.  i took owen and zach.  The whole idea was ALL owen.  he found all the games, put them in a bag (a black garbage bag, hahaha) and then took them in and did all the talking to make the transaction happen.  i seriously just sat back and took photos and video the whole time. (they're all blurry, oh well.)

Anyway, it was really cute! he earned 61 dollars in store credit and bought 3 new games.

He was a happy kid.
