So, the Tribeca film festival announced the films accepted for 2012 festival.

While We Were Here (aka The Italy Movie) is one of 12 films in competition.  more than 5000 were submitted!

Seriously, do you remember what a freaking disappointment that shoot was with stupid kate bosworth ruining everything??

well, well, well, eat that Kate Bosworth.  No seriously, eat it with a side of chicken wings, you are skeletal!

Doug and Kat had a meeting in NY before they came back with the director of the festival. he's a 60 something with a heavy french accent and doug said he was nearly weeping just talking about how much he loved this film. apparently, this guy was the creative director of Cannes for 6 years which leads me to believe he may know what he's talking about.  yahoo!

When i was looking up press for tribeca, i noticed that james franco has a film that is not in competition but is headlining at Tribeca. Doug got a call from james' producer, vince, and he said doug is the DP on that film because it's all footage from way back when they did the general hospital finale and all that behind the scenes crap.  remember the day it was projected on to the side of LACMA? i guess they edited it all down into a feature length docu/drama something and doug is the DP?!?

We don't know anything about this movie, since it's a james thing it's probably pretty sketchy but it'll be crazy awesome to have two films there.

p.s. owen is taking tennis lessons with Ethan and i asked if their teacher is old or young. they said, OLD like 28!

p.p.s. penny has a friend names Weston who has two dads.  they are buddies.  one dad told me today that weston wants to marry penny and that he hopes santa brings her a wedding dress for christmas! thought that was hilarious.
