Well, well, well. doug is back and i'm sure you know it's pretty great.

The stupid re-entry into life after such a long time away is crazy for anyone, but doug and i have done extremely well this time around,  i think.

He has some great photos from the wrap party that i need to post.

Otherwise, he got in at 4pm,  had to immediately run up to pay his office rent because someone let that fall through the cracks (no idea who that was!?)

As soon as he got back from that, like 5:15 i went to pick up a dozen martino's tea cakes and the babysitter, whose mom met me at the bakery to help save time, then drop sophie at school for her performance.

At 6:30 we were out the door to see Sophie's show.  it was incredible.  These crazy shows look nothing like high school, very professional indeed.

Then we got home super late and crashed at midnight or something.  we were both so FREAKING tired, it hurt.

but very much worth it, of course.

On Saturday, he took penny to the store and came home with white bread and 3 boxes of sugar cereal. He didn't get the memo that sugar cereal had been outlawed.  when i told him i stopped buying it he said, "ya, i can tell. Penny went nuts on the cereal isle." hmmmmm.




p.s. it's like 7:30am and i am reading at the kitchen nook and i hear penny shuffling around in her room. she just woke up i guess and is playing with toys.  then i hear her walking down the hallway toward the kitchen.  she can't see me yet so i stay quiet just to see what she's doing.

 so i duck a little back into the nook as she comes into the kitchen.  then, she heads straight for the refrigerator, opens it up.  milk maybe? juice? Nope, she pulls out a box of girl thin mint scout cookies. (a thousand times better eaten cold, btw)

I think we have a sugar addiction. Maybe time to detox!
